SparkPod SH-3270 High Pressure Showerhead Review: Powerful Performance
Pros
- Modern, sleek design
- Expansive coverage
- Great pressure performance
- Easy installation
- Simple maintenance
Cons
- Plastic
- 1-year warranty only
- Only one spray setting
The expansive coverage that this rain head can give is its most attractive quality. As expected, a lot of people were skeptical of this shower head for its large diameter. But how the SH-3270 can still give a boost in pressure while still having a wide coverage area is the reason why it rose so quickly to the leading positions on best-selling charts.
The sprayer face is 6-inch across, and it is embedded with 90 nozzles to replicate the highly sought-after drenching shower experience. It doesn’t matter that the sprayer face is so significant for a high-pressure showerhead nor the sheer number of nozzles there are on the sprayer face. The SH-3270 can still provide brilliant showers even in households with low pressure.
Design
It is cast from ABS plastic and finished with a layer of chrome plating. There’s also the option of matte black sprayer face.
There’s only one spray setting, unfortunately, which may be a turn-off for some. That said, the default setting already does an outstanding job at relaxing muscles and joints, so we didn’t find the lack of various settings a dealbreaker.
The showerhead is equipped with a ball joint that you can tilt in any direction that you desire.
Maintenance
As typical in modern showerheads, the bulk of the maintenance work on the SH-3270 is handled by the silicone nozzle tips, which are huge time savers. Solid mineral deposits can build up within showerheads after a while of using. Instead of dissolving them with chemicals overnight like before, you can now dislodge them by rubbing on the nozzles with either your fingers or a small toothbrush.
Installation
The only tool that you’re going to need to have during installation is a crescent wrench, which can be found in any hardware store. Setup will only take as long as five minutes. If you’re a novice in DIY work, make sure you follow the step-by-step instructions, which are available in the user’s manual that comes in the box.
Warranty
The SH-3270 is that it doesn’t have lifetime warranty policies like other showerhead makers— you only get one year of free replacement warranty. It’s obviously not a BIFL, but for the price, however, it is a decent deal.
